Welcome to Echoescapes

Welcome to my personal website. This place houses my blog and my art. I mostly talk about game development, programming, art, advocacy for open source and free software, criticisms of modern tech and life, and sometimes 2000's tech like MP3 players and Digital Cameras. I might add a review page that talks about my favorite obscure stuff, like unconvential games and technologies.

So for anyone who has seen the site before, or is wondering why it kind of looks simple, it's because the previous website design was way too unorganized. The odd formatting was the biggest thing that bothered be about it just because I felt like it looked super irregular and whenever I checked it on mobile it became an impossible mess. I am starting to like it better, however I will add some tweaking (different borders, different backgrounds for the divs, etc..). Already This is much easier for me to edit and add new features to unlike the gargantuant mess I made previously. The previous site style was my first attempt at a custom website so cut me some slack. As usual, I am not heavily using javascript for the sake of having the site load faster and not bloating my website. However, I may add some areas in my site that will use javascript for interactive purposes, but otherwise will not be used for the sake of accessibility for all devices.

Working on some HTML tutorials/freebies that anyone can take and use for their own sites. Finishing one up for border images, which will include an example image and some images that help show what to do. I like doing stuff like this because I know it can be hard to find resources/tips for designing your site so I hope whatever I made is useful.
